Call for pricing and detailsBear Branch Horse Resort is centrally located in the beautiful 280,000-acre Shawnee National Forest just above Lusk Creek Canyon. Named after a creek that runs through the property, Bear Branch offers exceptional horse camping sites and cabins, and multiple access to the most scenic riding and hiking trails in the Forest. The Shawnee National Forest now has marked trails as well as good maps. There are no Bridle Tags required for 2010.
Bear Branch features the well-known rustic Log Cabin Restaurant, now wi-fi equipped; 80 campsites with water and electricity; a heated and air-conditioned shower house and laundry;and cabins and lodging with private baths. Other accommodations and amenities include:

Overnight Camping, with Water and Electricity
All campsites: two adults per site. Without sewer, $24/night; with sewer, $29/night; $6 per additional adult.
Primitive camping, $12/night; camp around pond; one unit (2 adults) or tent per site.
Primitive Rawhide Cabin, sleeps five people, includes breakfast table, heated and air conditioned with porch swing. No bathroom. It is 60 yards from the Bear Branch shower house. Two adults, $39/night; $10 per additional person.
Rustic Cabins
For all facilities you must bring your own
bedding, soap, and towels.All the cabins described below have heat and air conditioning, private bath with shower, microwave, compact refrigerator, coffeemaker and outdoor charcoal grill.
Dogs are welcome by reservation only, with a $25 cleaning fee. If left alone in a cabin, dogs must be crated.
The Bunk House
This cabin sleeps four people with separate bedroom and two sets of bunk beds, small bath, table and four chairs, compact refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. Two adults, $49/night; $12 per additional person.
The Trail Boss
This cabin sleeps three people with full size futon bed with twin bed above, couch, full bath, breakfast table, refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. Two adults, $49/night; $12 per additional person.
Trails End Cabin
Trails End cabin sleeps four people. Separate bedroom with queen bed, and has a futon couch/bed, table and chairs, and bath. Includes refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. Two adults, $56/night; $12 per additional person.
Bear's Den
Bear's Den sleeps four people in cozy comfort. Separate bedroom with queen bed; also has sleeper sofa, table and stools, and bath. This cabin includes refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. Two adults, $56/night; $12 per additional person.

The cabins listed below have private baths, a full kitchen/stove, large refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, TV & charcoal grill.
Hideout Cabin
This cabin sleeps six to eight people, full kitchen, 1 bathroom, 3 bedrooms (one double bed, two queen beds), sitting area has a double futon, and a Television and DVD player. Two adults, $69/night; $12 per additional person.
Reata Inn
The Reata Inn sleeps six people and has a full living room, full kitchen with large refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, and all utensils, coffee maker, king bed, queen bed, double futon, TV/VCR, huge bath and double sinks, sunken tub, with separate shower stall, and has a private deck on back. Two adults, $69/night; $12 per additional person.
New! The Wrangler Cabin
The Wrangler cabin sleeps six+ people, full living room, full kitchen with large refrigerator, electric stove, cooking utensils, coffee maker, 2 bedrooms with queen beds, living room sleeper sofa, 2 bathrooms, as well as a single rollaway bed. TV with DVD player. This cabin has a huge western porch on front, deck on side with charcoal grill. Two adults, $69/night; $12 per additional person.

For the Horses
Box Stalls
Reserved/bedded, approx. 10' x 12', $12/night; one horse per stall. Stalls will be clean when you arrive; you must clean them before you leave, or pay $15/stall next visit. There will be a $2.50 additional daily fee for each stall not reserved prior to arrival. We supply the wheelbarrows and shavings; please bring your own fork.
Corrals
Two available, approx.100' x 100'; $24/night, limit 8 horses.
Day Riding for Noncampers
$3/Horse - Please park in grass and not on a camp site.
